In my fourth project, I had the exciting opportunity to develop a content management system (CMS) website for PC CONCEPTS, a reputable computer retail and service specialist. The primary objective was to establish an effective online presence for the client, allowing them to expand their customer base and engage with potential customers.

To achieve this, I designed and built a fully customized theme that seamlessly integrated custom and third-party functionality. The website was meticulously crafted to ensure compatibility across various browsers, devices, and platforms, guaranteeing a consistent user experience for all visitors.

The project involved identifying and addressing specific use cases for both end users and content administrators. By understanding the needs of both parties, I planned and developed customizable components that empowered the administrator to easily configure the website to meet the identified use cases.

Throughout the development process, I adhered to best practices for CMS security, ensuring that the website remained secure, SEO-friendly, and optimized for performance and compatibility. This approach aimed to enhance the user experience, maximize visibility on search engines, and improve overall site performance.

The website showcased PC CONCEPTS’ range of service-based products, allowing visitors to access information about the services provided. Additionally, the website featured a portfolio section where PC CONCEPTS could showcase examples of their work, sharing stories of particular projects to provide potential customers with a deeper understanding of their business and client relationships.

To bring this project to life, I leveraged various technologies such as WordPress, Local from Flywheel for local hosting, PHP, JSX, JavaScript, HTML, Postman, Google Maps API, SASS, Custom Post Types, Custom Fields, JSON, and WP REST API. These tools and technologies were carefully selected to ensure the website’s functionality, responsiveness, and seamless integration with the CMS.

By combining my expertise in web development, CMS customization, and industry-standard practices, I successfully delivered a CMS website that met PC CONCEPTS’ requirements. The project will not only strengthen the client’s online presence but also provide them with a powerful platform to engage with potential customers, showcase their services, and highlight their successful projects.
